主持并完成国家自然科学基金项目5项、黑龙江省自然科学基金重点项目1项、教育部博士学科点专项科研基金联合资助项目1项。在J. Am. Chem. Soc.、J. Phys. Chem. B、Chem. Mater.、Chem. Commun.、Nanoscale、J. Chem. Phys.和Chem. Phys. Lett.等国际性刊物上发表SCI论文100余篇。有关研究工作被《日本経済産業新聞》三度报道,其中碳纳米管分离的工作被Materials Today杂志作为Research News报道。获得黑龙江省科学技术奖(自然科学类)三等奖1项、中国分析测试协会科学技术奖(CAIA奖)1。在1997-2000年攻读博士学位期间,先后获得“1999年北京大学创新奖”和“2000年北京大学优秀毕业博士研究生”称号。博士毕业论文“富勒烯笼内金属包合物和单层碳纳米管的研究”被评为2002年北京大学优秀博士学位论文。曾获得黑龙江大学教书育人先进个人、黑龙江大学教学成果奖。
