外研社杯全国英语大赛的演讲稿范文需要根据每年的比赛主题来撰写。以下是一个根据假设主题撰写的演讲稿范文,供你参考:
假设主题:The Power of Empathy
Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, I stand before you to talk about a force that has the power to change the world – empathy. In a world that often seems divided, empathy is the bridge that connects us all.
What is empathy? It is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. It is putting yourself in someone else's shoes and seeing the world through their eyes. Empathy is not just about feeling sorry for someone; it is about truly understanding their situation and emotions.
Why is empathy important? In a world where conflicts arise from misunderstandings and judgments, empathy is the key to unlocking compassion and unity. It allows us to build connections with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Empathy is the glue that holds societies together.
How can we cultivate empathy? It starts with listening – truly listening to others without judgment. It involves being open to new experiences and perspectives. We must be willing to step out of our comfort zones and engage with people who are different from us. By doing so, we open our hearts and minds to the vast tapestry of human experiences.
The power of empathy is transformative. It can turn strangers into friends, adversaries into allies, and conflicts into resolutions. Empathy has the power to heal, to inspire, and to bring about positive change.
In conclusion, let us all strive to be more empathetic. Let us choose to understand before being understood. In doing so, we contribute to a world that is more compassionate, more connected, and more harmonious.
Thank you.
以下是一篇适用于“外研社杯”全国英语大赛的演讲稿范文,主题为“Nuclear Power: A Blessing or a Disaster?”(核能:福祉还是灾难?):
Honorable Judges, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Good evening! Today, I am honored to stand here and share my thoughts on a topic that has sparked countless debates and discussions worldwide: "Nuclear Power: A Blessing or a Disaster?"
When the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, the world was thrust into the atomic age. The commencement of the Cold War and its long duration further plunged the globe into fear and panic of nuclear war many times over. However, as the years rolled by, nuclear power began to carve its niche in promoting goodness for humankind. It promises to provide clean and efficient energy for the centuries to come.
From my own perspective, there is no firm answer to whether nuclear power is a blessing or a disaster. My initial contact with nuclear power was through a TV programme called "Green Space," where I witnessed, for the first time, how nuclear power had changed people's lives and what it had left behind for the residents living around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It was, unfortunately, a tale filled with sorrow.
I remember vividly a young boy, an infant, appearing on the screen with big, blue, sparkling eyes, smiling innocently. He was as cute and adorable as any other child. Yet, his fate was sealed. He was blinded by the radiation. Despite undergoing daily medical treatments to alleviate the damage, his chances of growing up normally were slim. Later, I learned that inappropriate operation and equipment design defects were responsible for this tragedy.
Eight years have passed, but the image of that boy's smile still haunts me, reminding me that nuclear power can indeed be a living devil. However, with the increasing depletion of resources and the urgent demand for energy, clean and efficient nuclear power seems to be the best choice we have.
As an old saying goes, "Every sword has two blades." Nuclear power is dangerous yet efficient, environmentally devastating yet clean, expensive yet sustainable. It is a matter of how we use it and how we treat it. We cannot deny the potential benefits that nuclear power brings, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing a steady source of energy. But we must also acknowledge the risks associated with it, including accidents like Chernobyl and Fukushima.
Therefore, while nuclear power may be a blessing that offers clean and efficient energy, it can also turn into a disaster if not handled properly. It is our choice, as a society, to ensure that nuclear power is used safely and responsibly. We must invest in research and development to improve nuclear technology, enhance safety measures, and mitigate the risks associated with it.
In conclusion, nuclear power is a double-edged sword. It has the potential to be a great blessing for humankind, providing clean and efficient energy for generations to come. However, if not handled with care and responsibility, it can also turn into a disaster. Let us work together to ensure that nuclear power serves as a blessing rather than a curse.
Thank you for listening!
